Low Profile Double L Sliding Winch for Trailers

Installed on double L winch track attached to your trailer, these winches slide easily along the length of the track and lock in place under tension. That means faster adjustments, better strap angles, and a more efficient setup when you're dealing with changing load configurations. If you haul a wide variety of loads, like hauling lumber one day and machinery the next, this system gives you the control to handle it all.

Built from heavy-duty steel with a corrosion-resistant finish and a 5,500 lb. working load limit, these sliding winches deliver the same strength you expect, with added versatility that fixed systems just can’t match. The low profile design is perfect for installation where space is tight.

These winches are compatible with all of our winch bars and our winch straps, which come with a variety of end fittings.

Sliding Winch Features

Tensioning

For tensioning, the WSTDA recommends in section 4.3.5 that "When using any winch, the winch mandrel shall have a minimum of two (2) and a maximum of four (4) wraps of webbing. Two to four wraps will appear like four to eight layers of webbing. Less than two wraps may result in strap slippage; more than four will place unnecessary strain on the winch. Excessive straps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the winch and may interfere with proper operation."
