Description

9,200 lbs. Snap Binder

Lever load binders are a staple of the trucking and transportation industry. They are used to tension transport chain, keeping your load securely anchored to a flatbed or other trailer.

Grade 70 / 80 / 100 Lever Binder Construction

This lever load binder has a forged carbon steel body and handle. The forged steel is more durable than a cast handle - it can withstand much more force without breaking and ensures maximum leverage. Ours uses slightly larger threads than most of our competitors as well for a more heavy-duty hold.

The grab hooks on each end create secure attachment points - their shallow throats are readily compatible with chain links.

The long-lasting, scratch-resistant powder coating is added using an electrostatic process. This involves high temperatures (approximately 270 degrees) which ensures heat-resistance as well.

Why Choose a Lever Load Binder?

The primary difference between a ratchet binder and a snap binder is the tensioning method. A lever binder uses leverage instead of a ratcheting mechanism. While it often comes down to personal preference, some of the main advantages of a lever binder are less maintenance (due to the smaller number of moving parts) and faster operation. The primary downside is the danger of snapbacks, as the handle does store kinetic energy.

If you are looking for a safer lever binder, check out our recoil-less lever binder.

Note: DO NOT use with a cheater bar - cheater bars increase the risk of injury, as they can snap back and hit the driver or people / property in the surrounding area.

Lever Binder Industry Compliance

All of our chain binders are FMCSA / DOT compliant and meet or exceed WSTDA T-6 Recommended Standards. The working load limit and traceability code are embossed on the handle / body and the hooks have grade and size markings. This ensures quick identifications and stress-free inspections.
