All of our slings are made to order with a standard lead time of 1-3 days for assembly prior to shipping.
A continuous eye web sling- also known as a type 8 lifting sling- is designed for heavy loads, yet also has a wide body design which provides protection for cargo that’s fragile or has delicate finished surfaces.
Also known as continuous loop slings or continuous loop lifting straps, these nylon straps for lifting are manufactured by joining together the long edges of an endless sling. This design results in the loops or “eyes” on each end being a continuous part of the sling rather than an attachment, which provides extra strength. The loops are tapered, making it easy to attach crane hooks and hoist hooks. The only limitation of a type 8 lifting strap is that it can be used only with a basket hitch.
A wide variety of size and capacity options are available with the continuous eye web sling: 8 different widths, each available in either one- or two-plys. Work load limit capacities range from 18,800 lbs. to 131,700 lbs.
All of our nylon web slings are made in the USA to industry standards in a heavy-duty, 9,800 lbs. per inch industrial grade webbing, and have a sewn-in leather tag that contains the working load limit. If you need a similar style sling with a twisted eye, but with a narrower sling body, check out our type 4 eye & eye twist slings. If you need a similar sling but with a wider body for extra load stability and lighter load capacity, see our type 9 attached eye wide slings.

Please note: The width measurement for a type 8 continuous eye wide sling reflects the width of the short side of the sling, not from eye to eye. The length measurement is determined by laying the sling flat and measuring from one end of the sling to the other- including the eyes.
Sling Proof Testing Certificates Proof testing certificates can be supplied with your order for a nominal fee and must be requested at the time of order. Proof tests are performed in the factory where the sling is pull tested to 2x the vertical rating and officially recorded as proof for governing bodies. During the standard manufacturing process, only random slings during a production run are tested for compliance; in order to provide proof testing certificates with your order, every sling must be pull tested at the time of manufacture.
