EPDM, also known as Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer, is a type of synthetic rubber that are used in a lot of applications. We carry EPDM tarp straps that are resistant to UV degradation and safe to use when exposed to hot climates. These tarp straps are great to use because they are durable and resistant to heat, oil, ozone, salt water, and common household chemicals. This helps campers who want to camp outside and need a strap resistant to heat for their camping items, as well as the auto industry because they use the EPDM rubber as belts, hoses, etc. If you are looking for additional items to use rubber tarp straps with, check out our Flatbed Tarps – Steel & Lumber Tarps, Tie Down Straps, and Tie Down Hardware to fit your tiedown needs. If you would like a kit that has all supplies to keep you moving around with no problem, check out our Flatbed Starter Kits.
Not only that, the EPDM rubber tarp straps can fight the hot summer months. This is an ideal strap to use for the summer when they will be exposed to heat and sunlight for long periods of time. Besides these straps, we also carry Natural Rubber Tarp Straps. Natural rubber tarp straps are different from EPDM rubber tarp straps because they are designed for the winter. We recommend not to use EPDM rubber tarp straps during the winter because it will become brittle and not return easily after it’s been stretched, while the natural rubber is the better choice for cold conditions since it will not crack and break apart.
Our heavy duty straps are relatively cheap to buy, and you can get a better deal and discount if you buy them in larger quantities of 50-pack. The most popular search is the 21" rubber tarp straps, but we also carry other lengths: 9", 15", 31", 41".
