Van Beest Green Pin® shackles are European-made, high-quality, and meet or exceed industry standards. Van Beest shackles are marked with steel grade and a traceability code. The G-5263 Super Shackles line meets performance requirements of US federal specification RR-C-271 Type IVA Class 3, Grade B.
Green Pin® Super Shackles are up to 50% stronger than a standard shackle. The largest size of this heavy duty shackle is easily recognizable by its painted green "crown" at the top of the bow. This bow shackle ranges in WLL from 3.3 tons to 175 tons.
Bow shackles refer to a shackle design with a larger O-shaped look. Larger slings or straps can fit more easily into the bow of these shackles, as opposed to chain or D shackles. When applications require a slightly smaller loop, it is recommended to use anchor shackles
, and for applications that require a significantly smaller loop, it is recommended to use chain shackles
Bolt type shackles are frequently used in heavy-duty securement applications where the connection is intended to be permanent or long term, and/or in applications where the risk of the load sliding on the pin may occur, potentially causing unsafe rotation. Bolt type pin shackles are also referred to as safety bolts due to the bolt/nut/cotter pin combination.
The bow and pin on these Green Pin® super shackles are alloy steel, Grade 8 quenched and tempered. A hot-dipped galvanized finish provides extra durability against dings and scratches.
In addition to our Van Beest shackles
