Endless Wire Rope Slings

A grommet is a type of wire sling used in heavy-duty industrial lifting applications. This type of sling is a continuous loop sling. It is often used in a situation where extra flexibility is needed for lifting or rigging. It can also be used when rigging is too short for a more traditional wire rope sling.

The continuous loop of the endless wire rope grommet can be joined by a mechanical sleeve or swaged sleeve. This type of sling can also vary in size and length so that you can find an option that works best for you. The diameter of this grommet can range from ¼ inch to 1-1/2 inch, and the length can range from 1 foot to 20 feet.

Our wire rope grommets are made of Extra Improved Plow (EIP) steel to give you added strength. These grommets also have an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC), which is the strongest type of wire core for a crane sling. This will give you added strength and durability for completing those high-capacity lifts safely. The durability will also help your sling last over time.

The wire rope grommet can be used in different ways to give you different capability. This sling can be put in a basket hitch, which will offer you the highest rated capacity. It can be used in a vertical capacity to extend the length. It can also be put in a choker hitch to keep cargo more snug and secure to make sure your lift is more balanced and safer.

Wire Rope Grommet Measurement

The length of these slings is measured from the inside width of bearing point to bearing point (or end-to-end), not circumference.
