Crosby G-2160 Wide Body Shackles

G-2160 shackles feature an increased shackle bow radius for superior sling performance. With a minimum 58% increase in sling bearing surface, the usable sling strength will improve by at least 15%.

It can also eliminate the need for a thimble and drastically lengthen the working life of a wire rope sling.

Crosby Wide Body Shackle Features

Constructed from quenched and tempered alloy steel for maximum strength, shackles between 7-55 tons have a hot dip galvanized finish, while all larger sizes have a Dimetcoted body and pin.

All Crosby® shackles are manufactured with the product identification and working load limit information embossed for easy and fast identification.

G-2160E Easy-Loc Bolt Securement System

The Easy-Loc shackles come with the Easy-Loc shackle bolt securement system. This setup eliminates the need for cotter pins or tool and reduces install and release time by up to 90%!

Certifications & Testing

Both the bow and the bolt are certified to meet Charpy impact testing of 42 Joules (31 ft-lb) min. avg. at -4°F (-20°C), and they are individually proof tested and magnetic particle inspected. This certification is available at the time of order.

Additionally, Crosby G-2160 shackles are produced in accordance with DNV MSA requirements.
