Chain shackles have straight legs so they’re intended for use in two-direction pulls. Because of the straight shape, they are not a good choice for applications where there are more than two directions of loads, which can create stress on the sides and increase risk of failure. If your application involves pulls from multiple directions, a bow or anchor shackle which as a rounded shape, is a better choice.
A oversized screw pin lets the user connect and disconnect quickly, so it’s great for temporary or attachments that change often.
Forged in Type 316 stainless steel for a higher level of reliability over cast stainless steel. The Type 316 also offers more corrosion resistance over traditional Type 304 stainless steel, due to the addition of molybdenum. Type 316 stainless steel is ideal for applications in marine environments.
