Only alloy chain slings should be used for overhead lifting applications. Grade 80 Chain is currently used on all of our chain lifting slings. Alloy Grade 80 Chain Slings have the strength and durability for the toughest of jobs and under high temperatures or under other harsh conditions that would destroy other types of lifting slings. Grade 100 Chain is also seeing a rising trend in the market as many sling suppliers are converting to this lighter, stronger grade. Grade 100 chain is also available upon request as we can supply almost any chain sling assembly. Our chain lifting slings are all proof-tested to 2x the vertical rating, ISO certified and tagged appropriately. Each chain rigging sling comes with several options such as single-leg, double-leg, triple-leg, quad-leg, basket, and adjustable as well as a variety of sling fittings for the ends like sling hooks, grab hooks, foundry hooks, self-locking hooks, clevis hooks, and oblongs. Custom chain sling assemblies are our specialty.
Lift chain is the most flexible material for lifting slings. This flexibility allows for the best slings the industry has to offer to be stored in very small places. Adding to the positive side of lift chain assemblies is the fact they are also the strongest and are very durable. Chain Slings are available in many sizes and configurations from 9/32" to 1-1/4" or larger in custom assemblies and can be made with limitless configurations. Our chain is quenched and tempered before proof testing for twice the strength of ordinary steel chain. The minimum elongation is 20% at break test. Our Peer-Alloy Chain meets or exceeds the latest guidelines of the National Association of Chain Manufacturers (NACM), ANSI B30.9 standards and OSHA specifications.
The steel market is a very volatile market for materials and therefore doesn't allow us to add the pricing to the listings like the nylon slings, polyester round slings, or wire rope slings. Call our sales staff and we can provide you with the specification or pricing you need. We can offer fixed pricing for an extended time so please feel free to call toll free at 866-444-9990 and we will be happy to assist you.

CUSTOM CHAIN SLINGS ARE OUR SPECIALTY! We can make just about any chain sling within reasonable limits. By calling our customer service department and giving them the details of your sling request, we can get you an answer in no time. Alloy chain slings have many variables so the more information you have about the sling, the faster the custom sling request will be answered. Some of the information that may help speed the process is outlined below:
-
Would you like Grade 80 or Grade 100 lifting chain?
-
What type of hooks would you like on the ends? (see the picture above for some common end fittings)
-
What style of steel chain sling do you need: Single Leg, 2-Leg, 3-Leg or 4-Leg Bridles, Baskets, or Endless? (see the images below for sling style options)
-
What is the overall length, including the oblong master link, of the sling needed?
-
What chain thickness or weight rating do you need for your application?
The answer to these questions will help our sales staff get you the proper chain lifting sling for your application. Below are some samples of the styles of chain slings that are available. These are not the only styles of chain slings but merely the most common types of alloy chain slings.
