Webbing Width: 2" Webbing Break Strength: 12,000 lbs. Quantity: 1 Most of our wheel nets will work on 14"-17" standard wheels.
This tow dolly basket strap will secure vehicles for towing with two flat hooks. Ideal for tow dolly applications, the loose end of the bonnet strap can be paired with a 2" ratchet or lashing hook to secure it to a trailer. Made for maximum hauling strength with industrial-grade polyester webbing.
For safety reasons, it is recommended to use two straps - one for each front tire - when securing a vehicle to a tow dolly. Save with our value-priced Pack of 2.
LOOK WELL MADE AND IS LONG ENOUGH TO STRAP A 17" WHEEL SAFELY
Product is great! It would have been nice to know however, that it is for a very small tire and will not fit around a light pickup tire. It works though, if you get it real tight, it won't come off.
Great product. Replaced original straps
which were bad news keep coming loose no matter how tight I got them,
These tie-downs perform extremely well!
They look well manufactured. I haven't used them but look 10X easier to use than the set I own. One thing though, in the description is says it is made of , "2", 12,000 lb industrial grade polyester webbing." Once they came to me it stated on the tag, "Assembly break strength 6,000 LBS and Work load limit is 2,000 LBS. This should be added to the description.
i like them alot
I purchased a pair of these in November 2012 to replace the straps that came with my car dolly. Regarding the OEM straps I needed two pairs, one to fit my 2004 Camry and larger ones to fit my 2007 Santa Fe. The OEM straps wore out after 6 months, 6 trips, 7K miles. These straps fit both vehicles just fine, have gone 2-1/2 years, countless trips and 35K + miles. They have seen summer, winter, rain, snow, sand, road salt and they keep going. Other than being dirty they don't show any wear. I will be getting one spare strap before we start our summer 8,000 mile trip, just incase.
Straps just arrived. Look to be high quality. NOTE: The description is a little misleading. In the description it states "Made for maximum hauling strength with 2", 12,000 lb industrial grade polyester webbing" but the tag on these straps list the Assembly break strength at 6,000 LBS and Work load limit at 2,000 LBS. I think the description should make this clear as I expected the assembly break strenght to be 12,000lb.
First, let me say that the straps worked fine for my first trip of about 600 miles. I was a little worried because of the placement on the tires, so I stopped more often than I would have normally to check them. I am thinking of cutting the center cross strap off so they fit a little lower on the tires. I would make this change; The straps with the hooks need to be longer so that the basket sits more on top of the tire than behind center.
