This 2" ratchet has a single wire hook, or j-hook, attached to the bolt of the ratchet to eliminate the need for extra webbing on the fixed end.  It allows for a 2" ratchet strap to be shortened by 6" by eliminating that webbing between the hook and the bolt of the ratchet.
