Twisted Polyproylene Rope - 3 Strand

A twisted construction makes this polypropylene rope easy to splice and resistant to unwinding. When comparing to other twisted rope, it has less stretch than nylon, but more stretch than polyester. One benefit of polypropylene is that it does not absorb water, so it not only floats, but also has good dielectric properties, which means it won’t conduct an electric current if it touches a live electrical wire. It also has excellent resistance to mildew, rot, petroleum products, marine organisms, acids and alkalis. However, polypropylene ropes are susceptible to gradual elongation when under load, and also do not hold up well with extended exposure to the UV rays of the sun. The unique properties of twisted polypropylene rope make it great for water and snow ski rope, pool rope, construction barrier rope, tree trimming uses, and electricity utility rope.
