Twisted rope features a spiral construction that’s strong, yet easy to splice and less prone to unwinding. Polyester twisted rope looks similar to nylon twisted rope but has very little stretch to absorb shock loads. This inability to elongate makes it ideal for applications where stretch could be hazardous, such as some pull rope, rigging and string line uses. It’s also a popular choice as winch line, tree rope, truck rope and antennae guy lines. The non-absorbent polyester fibers make the rope resistant to rot, mildew, gas, UV rays, alkalis and most acids.
