Solid braid construction creates a smooth, firm and more rounded shape than a diamond braid and it holds its shape even under load so it’s excellent for use with blocks and pulleys. The polyester fiber stretches very little and is resistant to abrasion, mildew, rot, oil, gas and UV rays. It also holds knots well and is difficult to splice. Because it offers strength without elongation, it’s a good rope for applications such as rigging and towing, guy lines, tie downs and flagpole halyards.
