More About Lag & Swage Stud Stainless Steel Turnbuckles
Our lag and swage stud turnbuckles are made of heavy duty 316 stainless steel which is more corrosion resistant than the type 304. Type 316 stainless steel turnbuckles are made to withstand the rigors of the marine rigging UNC threads so they can be interchangable with each other which allows you to carry less inventory and swap fittings with other bodies. Some of the smaller swage stud turnbuckles can be hand swaged with a special tool (denoted in the individual part's description). Marine turnbuckles are used in rigging applications connecting 2 wire ropes or cables together or fastening wire rope to a fixed anchor point.
