The 8x25 spin resistant wire rope is an IWRC wire rope which means it has an independent wire rope core. The rotation-resistant configuration has the core strands spun in the opposite direction of the outer strands to counteract each others' twisting properties while under a load.
The 8x19 class, 8 x 25 actual configuration, wire rope is more durable and rugged than the 19x7 class but is inferior in its rotation resistant properties. Made of EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel), these wire ropes are recommended for hoisting unguided loads with a single or multi-part line.
