Boat Tie Down Straps

Boat tie down straps are used to hold boats steady during transport. Tie down straps are made by mating strong woven fabric with tie down hardware like winches, hooks and buckles. This hardware allows the boat tie down strap to attach to the area surrounding the boat, loop over it and/or attach to the boat itself. It provides a method of introducing tension to hold the item in place, empowering the transporter to travel in confidence.

There are several types of boat tie down straps; the transporter chooses which strap to employ based on the support needs of the boat. There are straps that restrict up and down movement while on the trailer, securing the aft section of the boat. If the requirement is to restrict both vertical and horizontal movement, there are boat tie down straps to satisfy that need. There are straps that secure the bow to the front of the trailer to avoid vertical and backward movement during transit. These boat tie down straps also reduce load on the tie down hardware.
